Be of Good Spirit
"You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst." ~ Nehemiah 9:20 NKJV
Does the rain not tell us to be still under shelter?
Does thunder’s might cause us to be amazed
by the appearance of sudden light?
Does darkness not cause us to seek shelter if we are outside?
That is the nature of God in guiding His wayward sheep.
Don’t forget the miracle of how God has shown Himself to you.
Don’t forget how He uses young people like Joan of Arc
to move and command armies.
Did God not instruct the birds
to use any loose and dead straw to build their nest?
Are we not as resourceful as the birds?
Does man use mud and trees
to build his home and wooden sticks to hunt or fish?
If we were made in God’s image,
can God not do the same with the least of us?
The suffering of the sickest one of us moves our hearts to action,
and the little ones and our loved ones
cause us to risk our lives in battlefields, fires, and floods
all because we love them - because God loves them.
When confronted with the potential death of our mortal fleshy bodies
or our fragile egos who do we risk them for if not for God.
The One who loved us first and loves us always.
Be not afraid if you look like a fool
for God knows what’s in your heart
and is near to the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
Be of good Spirit, brother,
for the Lord, your God, is with you until the end of the age.
He uses you because He can mold you into a great servant. 侍。
