Enthralled by You
“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:6 ESV
Enthralled by the thoughts that cling to this mind,
search them so that You may shed Your Light.
Of discerning patterns, of habitual scatters,
where these thoughts that might matter, are found broken and battered.
This disciple is lost in a wave of functioning chasms
that must be leapt over from the coming days
that leads to what many cannot fathom.
The Day of the Lord, it beckons this heart to the seeking of You!
The Day that is coming soon, what must I do?
An earthly father, who chains himself to the fence,
thinking nonetheless of whether his actions are in any way worthless.
For all that we do should be in pursuit of You,
and this disciple is no better, yet,
You know my heart, thus I seek to write these letters!
Psalms of praise and psalms of lament.
Under the sun of prophetic days where You have paid my debts.
I need not worry, I need not groan.
For You, O Lord, are worthy of all the steps it will take to grow towards You.
Thus this disciple moves toward grace, growing in love.
Grant him Your infinite ways of in the form of Your dove!
