His Way

"As for God, His way is perfect: The LORD's word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him." ~ Psalms 18:30 NIV

Your way is firm. Your way is stable. Your way holds me up. Your way builds me up. 

When I think of the other paths I could take, Your Spirit calls me toward a better one. 

When I think of taking a step into my sin, Your Spirit convicts me toward requesting Your presence. 

You call me to obey Your commands, and it is my aim to do so. Although, even in hearing Your commands, this world beckons me to step off Your path. 

The evil that tempts me shrouds my prayers with thoughts of destruction, leading me toward a path where You have turned away. 

However, Your Spirit dwells in this temple. Your Spirit, greater than all evil, speaks to me, for me, to You, for You to bring me back to Your way. 

That way being the only way I wish to take.
