Return to Life
"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Return to me,' declares the LORD Almighty, 'and I will return to you,' says the LORD Almighty." ~ Zechariah 1:3 NIV
Slumber and solitude plagued me, losing sight of where You were.
The churning in my stomach left me frail, reminding me of Your suffering.
How could I compare such suffering to Yours? My sickness was nothing more than a lack of nutrients. At least, that was my reasoning, but You had different plans for me.
What I feared the most was the truth. What I feared the most was facing my health. And You said, “Face it, and you will grow!”
However, I continued to ignore it. Thinking I could recover just by my slumber and solitude. And You sent warning after warning, calling me to take action toward protecting my temple.
Finally, the churning returned, and I was forced to face the truth. This temple You wove for me lacks a vital component that explains my frailness up to this point.
You showed me the truth and I’ve grown because of it! Lord, You’ve grabbed hold of me and placed me on the narrow path which leads to life. You’ve shed light before me, so that I may be reborn.
Although my body does not work for me, this is how You made me, and for it, I thank You and rejoice in my health!
Thank You, Lord, and continue to light my path so I may walk in Your Spirit!
