Thank You, Lord

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." ~ 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

Expressed through pain, my suffering longs for You. 

Expressed through complaints, my worries are canceled by You. 

Each expression that grounds me in this world; You remind me of the thanksgiving in each moment. 

My Lord, some struggle in this discipline. You call us to give thanks in all circumstances. For through You all things are made new!

The struggle to see light in the darkness, to see peace in chaos, to see You in all things… Is it our trial?

Those whose eyes are open and seek You, whose ears are ready to hear, whose hearts are soft and filled with Your Spirit! All these can pass this trial, for they know Your Word. 

Yet, this trial is not a one-time test. It is a continual discipline that is needed to pass daily to see You. To be made holy in Your presence. To truly know You. 

In Your will, all things work for good, and in that, I have no other words than, “Thank You, God!” 

So hear me, Lord, I thank You!
