You Exalt
"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honor." ~ James 4:10 NLT
Counted in Your court, You exalt the lowest of these.
With a heart of servitude, You exalt the greatest of these.
If You lay claim to a heart, how can anyone say no to You. For You breathed life into its beating, for that heart owes itself life to You. And You exalt it to Your presence.
Lord, we are mere thoughts to You, breaths that come and go, yet, You exalt us to be made in Your image.
When I look around me at each of those You created who do not know You, my heart is drenched in longing for them to know You.
When I look at those who do not know You, Your Spirit in me cries out for the right words influenced by You, to bring You to the lost sheep of Your pasture.
This prayer is just a grain of sand in the vastness of the seashore, yet, You listen to Your child's plea in every circumstance.
May You continue to exalt the least of us to the greatest position, in Your presence!
